Cover Boys

Gender roles have been continually shifting and evolving in the last few decades. As a matter of fact, at times one has the impression that they might end up reversing entirely, with the ladies taking control of the assertive, power roles that were once assigned to men. And men showing gentler, more submissive qualities are no longer perceived as taboo.

Correspondingly, our outward aspect is also undergoing a noteworthy development.
Publicity and the public press finally exposes us to boys adorned, objectified, shown as desirable sexual play-toys, in the same light as females used to be displayed in former generations. 

In addition, they may also appear quite "feminized", by conventional standards, wearing anything from makeup to dresses.
At times, their looks could be described as "androgynous",... to say the least.

Magazine covers, for instance, show guys in a way that might have been unthinkable several years ago.
